This tutu was made for a very special bear, Miss KeKe.  She is my daughter’s ultrasound bear that has a recording of her beautiful heart beat before she was born.  Therefore Miss KeKe holds a special place in our hearts.

Upgrade ‘em

Just another item turned victim of the “bling”!  Although these are cute just the way I purchased them, I couldn’t resist.  I had to spice them up. Just a little goes a long way. 


Added a little bling to the shoes, and upgraded this cute knit hat by sewing on a yellow head band accessorized with flowers and diamonds.

My daughter has an older cousin named Takira. She is the cutest with so much personality.  Her grandma wanted her to have a tutu to go with a t-shirt she bought for her. She requested a pink –n- black tutu.

Jean Tutu Dress

So I admit I have a tutu obsession.  What’s so wrong with having a tutu for every day of the week?  Of course my cutie can’t just have a plain old tutu, so I decided to make her this cute hybrid.


I bought this jean dress which cost all of $3.00 so just in case I messed up I wouldn’t feel like I wasted too much money.

I cut the bottom of the dress just below the pockets.

I wanted to create that worn effect so I cut little slits all around the bottom. No need to be neat. the messier the better. This will make the worn effect look natural.

After cutting the slits around the bottom I put it in the washing machine then dryer. This helped shred the slits even more.

I gathered the material I needed to make the tutu.  I chose pink, purple, and black tulle because the little design on the front of the jean dress had these colors.

Created the tutu.

Sewed it to the bottom of the jean dress.

Bling baby hair brush

Another item added to my daughter’s bling collection. Long story short, I received a baby comb and brush set as a present at my baby shower. It was the plain pink comb and brush set you see in all the baby stores.  Well of course we don’t do anything plain so I figured let me personalize this just for my little diva.  Again, not hard at all. Purchased a few diamonds, cut a piece of some left over ribbon from a previous project and plugged in my hot glue gun.

Every girl needs a little bling in their life.  I bought these cute pink booties for my daughter and thought it would be the perfect item to start her bling collection. Not hard to do. A few diamonds, some cute ribbon, and a pair of kicks.  She’ll definitely have more like these.
